Complete and utter crap. It has tons of features and I agree it was a golden standard back in previous years but find one person that is actually happy with it today.
Recent updates completely broke it. Crashes, hangs, lags, corrupted / irrevocable project files just start the list of things wrong with adobe software these days. Forget about smooth workflow...
Learning how to use it is easy. Mastering how to use it... ...not so much
best alternative imho... blender used to just be for 3d modeling/animations but recent updates have really fleshed out video editing

Adobe Premiere Pro once represented the standard for desktop video editing. In the minds of many, this is possibly still the case, due to a lack of awareness of other really good options.
Adobe Premiere Pro is now full of show stopper bugs that will frustrate your workflow. If you don't HAVE to use it, I suggest you find a better option and better options do exist.
A little slow for old computers but definitely complete to make a full movie !
