  • Affinity Photo

Affinity Photo is a professional, full-featured raster graphics editor. Working in Affinity Photo is always live and you can pan and zoom at 60fps, with live previews...

    • Affinity Photo is a professional level photo editing application. It's very powerful and you can do 99% of things in it that you can do in Photoshop. It can read and write .PSD files, and is compatible (most of the time) with Photoshop brushes and plugins. If you don't mind paying, I'd recommend it. It's ~$50 one time, so no subscriptions. • Does effectively everything PS can do, has a matching Designer app and soon Publisher app. Excellent GUI and functionality, well supported and regularly updated. Total no brainer for a simple one-off payment. robfolJun 2019 • 11 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • I believe, now that it supports Windows, that it's a great alternative to Photoshop. There's a wide variety of features you can find both on Photoshop and Photo, they share most of the key features. Affinity's design is beautiful aswell. • I love gimp for what you get for free.. But best paid alternative without the subscription based software or stripped down PS Elements. Affinity Photo is a sweet deal, and great alternative to Photoshop. I only see this getting better with time and now it's on Windows. Pen support (default settings) could be better but doable. • One time Payment. Good Toolset. Very similar to Photoshop Guest • Mar 2018 • 5 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Professional grade cross-platform application with well-polished UI which does the same and more, with *no subscription*, no accounts and no cloud stuff ejuJul 2019 • 2 agrees and 3 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • It's non-subscription, and Affinity keeps adding new features, which do not require a paid upgrade. I'm hooked. aldorrDec 2016 • 13 agrees and 2 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Better than Photoshop, and a fraction of the price if you want to keep using the software for any extended length of time. Adobe's subscription model is simply ridiculous. greentea1Mar 2020 Disagree   Agree
    • 90% of the same features of Adobe Photoshop. The other 10% are tools rarely even used. Save your money, buy this cheaper alternative. Guest • Apr 2018 • 4 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Really Good UI, not expensive and does the job Guest • Dec 2017 • 4 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Incredibly great price, robust set of tools, leaner install. Guest • Jul 2019 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Very similar to PS, but a lot cheaper. Works really well if you want more advanced tools and options. A large variety of tools, that can be utilized really well. Personally I like it more than PS not only because of the price but overall "feel" of the application. PollyZDec 2019 Disagree   Agree
    • Brilliant tool, swapped over completely from Photoshop after almost two decades. The RAW features are great but it is still missing the features of bridge and lightroom for dealing with lots of photos quickly. If they can add an animation workflow I will be in heaven lewissturrockNov 2019 Disagree   Agree
    • Does it all and, once you get the hang of it, more intuitively than PS. Guest • Apr 2019 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Professional, full featured app, with proper vendor support and very good workflows. The only true alternative to Photoshop. Thanks to Affinity I've been Adobe (and subscription) free for many years and very happy at that. wonderwarthogApr 2019 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Best features and interface of all other alternatives of Adobe PS Guest • Oct 2018 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Similar interface logic and keyboard shortcuts, great support for reading psd files. Pretty much 95% of PS abilities, but without the subscription fees. Guest • Oct 2018 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • One time payment, low price, can do almost anything Photoshop can do, often better! Frequent updates, many free tutorials online... Excellent team that answer any question on the forum. It's not the best alternative to Photoshop, Photoshop is a good alternative to Affinity Photo. Guest • Jul 2017 • 6 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Very powerful tool and easy to use. Selection tools are the most precise and efficient i ve ever found. Guest • 6 days ago Disagree   Agree
    • It is usable! Everybody keeps recommending GIMP, which is (if you're used to Photoshop) horrible in it’s usability for creative work. Affinity Photo can totally keep up with Photoshop and is so much cheaper! Guest • Sep 2017 • 4 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Amazing feature set, and you only have to pay once, i.e. not a recurring subscription which is hard to get out of like Photoshop. Ideally for one-off use, or daily use. Guest • Apr 2020 Disagree   Agree
    • No subscription - One-off payment ultra_blueMay 2018 • 2 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • For the simple editing I do to get photos ready for email and web, Pixelmator is perfect. It can crop (including constrained cropping), resize, and do all the essential color/brightness/contrast/levels tweaks.
