Nextcloud Hub 26 Summer adds Teams workspaces and brings Euro-Office to desktop

Nextcloud Hub 26 Summer has been released, introducing interface changes with redesigned icons, improved app sorting, hover controls and reduced motion support. Nextcloud says more than 97% of pull requests focused on maintenance, stability and performance improvements. Teams is now a dedicated app, giving each team its own workspace with storage, files, tasks and knowledge resources, while Collectives and Deck boards can now be owned by teams instead of individual users.

Text adds inline comments, footnotes and Markdown version comparisons, Notes gains Zen mode and templates, and Tables introduces relational columns, structure exports and imports, notifications and Flow friendly column aliases. Assistant adds OCR, subtitle generation, optional memories, reusable Skills, agents across Mail, Deck, Talk and Tables, web search and recurring tasks. Nextcloud also says Context Chat cleanup has dropped from around 200 seconds to milliseconds. Talk adds Classified, Channels and Announcements conversation modes, global message search and support for calls with more than 1,000 users, while Calendar adds room finding and Mail gets Sieve forwarding and a floating composer.

Photos has been redesigned with map browsing, Trip Memories, slideshows, yearly recaps and improved video handling, while file shares can now be protected with one time passwords. Nextcloud Office is now powered by Euro-Office and is also coming to desktop with clients for Windows, Linux and Apple silicon Macs. The desktop editors support local files, fonts and settings, can save changes back to Nextcloud, and allow collaborative editing with users joining from either the desktop app or browser. The Euro-Office desktop clients are expected to be available in the coming weeks.
