Wispr Flow launches a new AI notetaker meeting assistant for transcription & summaries

Wispr Flow has launched Notetaker, its first product beyond dictation and a new entry into the AI meeting assistant space alongside alternatives like Granola, Otter.ai, and Fireflies.ai. The app can now capture meetings, identifies speakers, provides live transcripts, and generates structured notes and follow ups, using contextual data before and during meetings to improve accuracy.

Notetaker uses personal dictionaries from Wispr Flow, including acronyms, product names, and custom terminology, while also drawing context from connected services such as Slack, calendars, and meeting invitations. After a meeting, it processes the full recording again to refine the transcript, organize summaries by topic, and highlight key dates, decisions, next steps, and assigned tasks.

The app works across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Slack huddles without requiring a meeting bot or advance scheduling, including spontaneous and back to back calls. It can also provide pre meeting briefings, answer questions across meeting history, and help users catch up during ongoing conversations. Transcripts, summaries, and notes can be accessed through Claude, ChatGPT, MCP, and custom workflows. Wispr Notetaker is available now on Mac, with Windows support planned.
