Great app for teams collabaration
Good integration
I installed to simply join a meeting, after that I notice it suddenly wants to start up when the device restarts without asking me. Why exactly does it want to auto run when Windows runs? Ok fine, I'll go switch it off, but no I have to login, I assume just so I can see settings. Uninstalled and it felt like some rogue software instead of a competitor to Zoom, no wonder it's doing better.
A strong Skypye (again from microsoft) competitor however it can't nail the Skype calls and the features s as Skype does.
I still give it a 4 out of 5.
My university uses the platform, and I was pleasantly surprised how good it is, and I use it to collab with my friends from med school. Quite snappy, doesn't kill my PC (MacOS) and integrates the office suite and sharepoint very well.
For many that work primarily in a Windows, Office, and otherwise Microsoft tool-driven environment, Microsoft Teams is the natural choice for team collaboration software. For our increasingly platform agnostic world, however, Microsoft has a lot to prove, especially when going against the likes of
Slack.
Even in its free version, Teams features robust integration with other Microsoft services such as
Microsoft 365 and
Microsoft OneDrive, with integrations for third party apps and services such as
Statuspage.io and
WebEngage being available for anyone who uses the service.
All of this is also complemented by developer tool support for low-code solutions via the likes of
Microsoft Power BI, as well as ready made open source production templates available for use via
GitHub.
All of this is, of course, complemented by the standard voice, video, and text chat support one expects from any team collaboration service. Take as an entire package, Microsoft Teams is definitely worth researching before dedicating your business or group to a team collaboration service.
