Microsoft's video platforms Stream and Clipchamp will be unified under the Clipchamp brand

Microsoft is merging two of its video services platforms, Clipchamp and Micrososft Stream (which is integrated into Microsoft SharePoint), under the Clipchamp brand to improve the experience for Microsoft 365 users. Videos from Clipchamp will remain stored in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft OneDrive, with no loss of features.

A unified start page for both platforms will launch in December 2024 to centralize video-related tasks. By March 2025, users will have enhanced video playback options, allowing them to share specific clips within videos, along with transcript-based editing and video summarization features. Stream's capture features will be integrated into Clipchamp by January 2025, simplifying the selection of modes and effects.

Microsoft 365 administrators will be able to create and share brand kits within Clipchamp, and enterprise users can design templates for these kits starting January 2025. The transition to Clipchamp branding will begin soon, with full rebranding expected by early 2025.
