Clipchamp lastest update brings Dark Mode, AI Captions, and a refreshed UI design
Clipchamp for Windows has introduced a dark mode feature, allowing users to toggle between light and dark themes for both the homepage and editor. The interface now syncs with Windows system settings, but users can also manually switch themes via Settings General. Microsoft has revamped Clipchamp's editing interface to be more intuitive, particularly for beginners.
Additionally, a new AI captions feature enables automatic subtitle creation for videos, pretty similar to Captions or CapCut. Users can now undo and redo actions, offering greater editing flexibility. A full-screen playback option has been added for an uninterrupted video preview, and the timeline now includes timestamps for precise navigation and trimming.
A grouping feature allows users to combine multiple elements like text and music into a single unit, simplifying organization and movement within the timeline. These updates are being rolled out to Personal account users, with Work account users set to receive them in March 2025.
