Figma acquires Clover Notes: Integration plans and recommended alternatives for users
The popular design giant Figma has acquired Clover Notes, a productivity app popular for note-taking, task management, and whiteboard capabilities. Clover's unique feature, "Surfaces", allowed users to plan visually, positioning it as a competitor to apps like Milanote and Scrintal. Post-acquisition,Figma plans to integrate Clover's technology and talent into its own operations, with the Clover Notes platform being completely discontinued.
Users of Clover have until October 31, 2023, to export their data before it is permanently deleted. For active subscribers whose subscriptions end after August 16, 2023, automatic refunds will be processed within 30 days for the remaining subscription period.
Figma has recommended its own tool, FigJam, as a replacement for Clover's whiteboard management feature, and Notion as a good substitute for Clover's note-taking and task management features. Other alternatives include Milanote, Scrintal, Obsidian, Logseq, and even the new Microsoft Loop, all offering similar functionality.
