Microsoft Office 2013 will no longer be supported as of April 11th, 2023
Microsoft has announced that the 2013 release of its flagship Office suite will stop receiving any support on April 11th, 2023. After that date, no further security updates will be provided.
The definitive cut-off date comes from Microsoft's official Office 2013 product lifecycle page. After the April 11th cutoff, the 2013 release will no longer receive any of the following:
• Security updates • Non-security updates • Bug fixes • Technical support • Online technical content updates
Microsoft recommends upgrading to the Microsoft 365 paid subscription service that keeps users on the latest version of the Microsoft 365 (Office) that their hardware supports, but this is not necessarily a viable solution for those with older hardware or that don't wish to subscribe to a service for office productivity software. Other alternatives that do not require this include LibreOffice and ONLYOFFICE.
