Adobe is developing a full version of Photoshop for iPad
Users of Photoshop Express that have been requesting a more robust photo editing solution from Adobe will soon be getting an answer to their requests.
Chief product officer of Adobe’s Creative Cloud, Scott Belsky, said this in an interview with Bloomberg:
My aspiration is to get these [Adobe Creative Cloud apps for iPad] on the market as soon as possible. There’s a lot required to take a product as sophisticated and powerful as Photoshop and make that work on a modern device like the iPad. We need to bring our products into this cloud-first collaborative era.
Belsky did not comment on the release time frame or pricing of this iPad version of Photoshop and other Creative Cloud suite apps. However, the app is scheduled to be demonstrated during Adobe's 2018 MAX Creativity Conference starting on October 15th. In the meantime, users will need to continue using the toolset in Adobe Photoshop Express or use alternatives such as Pixelmator.
