If you're a PC user, you'll most likely find video players as a major letdown in the Android system, even VLC doesn't offer that much of a well-made app. After lots of trials, I decided to have MPV as my main video player.

YouTube without Google services and the ads, can be buggy at times, but I use it mostly for the download feature.

A simple straight-forward file manager with a couple of network file transfer protocols.

I live in one of the world's biggest cities, Istanbul, where locals themselves sometimes don't know the directions or the best routes. Citymapper has been a life saver to me as foreign living there.

Did you try
Fennec F-Droid ? It's a 100% foss version of Firefox for Android, you can download it on f-droid.
There is also
Mull a hardened fork of fennec with focus on Privacy so I would recommend this one over the PlayStore version of Firefox
For office viewing and editing I personnally use
Collabora Office Classic as it's the only open source alternative I found to Microsoft Office on Android.
I prefer
DeepL Translator over Google Translate, since you want to avoid Google you should give it a try. IMO it's way better !
Hope you will find my recommendation helpfull ^^
Edit : Didn't know Musicolet looks cool as it doesn't has internet permission will take a look !
