Vimeo was the first site to offer full HD online video, they have some interesting monetisation features and a clean interface. What's best though it's that the vimeo community is overwhelmingly creators and people who know what they're doing, so you won't find many cat videos or talentless basement dwellers filling up the site.

User interface is pretty bad, very unintuitive on PC. Mobile is surprisingly user friendly. Also, in my personal experience, three accounts I've created have been disabled due to suspicious activity. I frequently use a VPN as I travel a lot. I just watched videos and like stuff - not even commented. Kind of annoying.

DailyMotion offers nice options to manage and monetise your videos. And it's not linked to Google, which is a good point on my opinion.

Dailymotion doesn't have the comments section on a video as Youtube and removed the livestream option.

It's not a good alternative to YouTube because the idea is upload a video, get a link and share it. That's it. It doesn't have a interface that you can search for videos and etc. Basically, it doesn't have the "social network" that YouTube has.
