It is not envelop based, which is the main feature of YNAB, Also no syncing to other devices, and they don't have a mobile application - which is a must for tracking expenses.

This is an envelope-based budgeting software similar to YNAB. The program is pretty snappy and quick (vs. YNAB's web software that I find runs very slowly on my laptop). It's only 4 USD a month which is much cheaper.

KMyMoney seems to have many fonctionnalities. But to budget with it is much too complicated. You don't have in a glance the basic balance information to compare your spendings vs your earnings. Same thing to see the distribution of your spendings among categories. I used it for a long time, but I don't regret to be passed to YNAB, even if I have to pay (since I have a return on investment).

Financier has a lot in common with YNAB4 but is lighter, faster and web based.
