I was able to use a gamepad for an Excel sheet, so the app works. If you cannot see your device on the background list, simply try something with a similar number of buttons - your gamepad may recognize that too.

This used to be free, and many sites still offer it for free. Just download this, buy an USB xbox controller (with a cable!, not wireless), and download a bunch of emulators.
