Many servers are command-line only over ssh, so graphical tools are useless for those. This is a good tool to be able to see what is going on quickly and using only a ssh shell session.

brinerustle Because it uses treemaps. K4DirStat is a better choice for those using KDE, as it also allows deletion of files, etc.

It works very much alike WinDirStat, albeit without tree directory and you cant really delete anything from the GDM itself, but it shows all the necessary file paths for you to do it easily.

brinerustle It uses treemaps, and so provides a good alternative to windirstat for linux users. Really only fully compatible with KDE, and installing it will require that you install a good chunk of the KDE desktop, so gnome users should consider using GD Map instead.
