An awesome OS created by an even greater community. I use Ubuntu Touch for my Fairphone after using the OS on the Oneplus One before.

I have been using Ubuntu Touch by UBports on my Nexus 5 as a daily driver for many months now and I love it. I am soooo happy this dream didn't die. Plus I've heard Unity8 is back in development and active so this could get really awesome.

These guys picked up where Canonical left off. And they are doing a fantastic job!
A huge open store, privacy friendly OS and it looks amazing!

Ubuntu touch is an absolutely beautiful alternative to Android, iOS, LOS, etc. It's centred on privacy, usability, and security with a wonderful community behind it. It is completely gesture-controlled, its quick settings are lightning-fast, supports Android apps, is available for many devices, and, above all, has convergence. You can connect the phone to an external monitor, pair a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, and have an entire desktop environment running from your phone. It's amazing! I tried to go back to LOS after having used Ubuntu Touch for a week and I just couldn't do it!

I have been using Ubuntu Touch since 2013, when it was first introduced by Canonical. I have used it on many different phones as well as a Bq tablet. It was a very elegant OS from the beginning and it has been interesting to follow the progress over the years. Since UBPorts took over the development in 2017, the OS has improved greatly by a dedicated group of developers supported by an active and growing community of people like myself. The OS has never been better, and I can gladly recommend it as a daily driver if you are not heavily dependent on e.g. banking apps and can't live without some of the less privacy focused apps that will gladly share your personal data with anyone that is interested.

If you're like me, you could always keep an old Android phone for those rare occasions where Ubuntu Touch cannot fulfill your needs. Good for you to know also, that supported phones like Google Nexus 5 and OnePlus One are readily available at low price, so you don't need to shell out top dollars to make the switch!

Ambitious project. Tried on OPO and it goes well. With the spread of progressive web apps it could be a really interesting alternative to mainstream operating systems. Also developers are working on anbox in order to allow users to run Android apps in Wine style. And it's Linux powered. I mean, REALLY Linux powered, community rules.

This is a beautiful and user-friendly mobile operating system. It is free and Open Source. It cares about user-privacy, and will not mine for your data. And it offers convergence - the metamorphosis from mobile app to personal computer.
