TeamViewer is described as 'Establish remote desktop access in seconds with instant control, secure data, VoIP and webcam integration, file transfer, and fast, easy collaboration' and is a leading Remote Desktop tool in the remote work & education category. There are more than 50 alternatives to TeamViewer for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone apps. The best TeamViewer alternative is AnyDesk. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try AnyDesk or Chrome Remote Desktop. Other great apps like TeamViewer are RustDesk, UltraVNC, TightVNC and Remmina.
I love the fact that it uses HTML 5, which means that it can be used via just about any web browser. I also appreciate the fact that the free version doesn't nag you. I did spring for a subscription because I like the advanced computer management features. Oh, did I mention that it's much more affordable than TeamViewer too?
