    Editing subtitles in Aegisub is infinitely simpler and easier than SubEdit but both are free so I can't complain haha, SubEdit's OCR tool is unparalleled however.

    Maybe not as complete, but it has the same basic functions, like editing, subtitle sync (move subtitles), support for video player and waveform, translation, framerate switch, grammar tools, etc. For me, Subtitle Editor works much better on Linux than SubtitleEdit and it's better than Gaupol.
