. . .

Uninstalled badger after going through hundreds of websites, and nearly all of them failing to function.

Less a reflection on badger than the pervasive nature of ... everything - ad networks, trackers, etc. Probably true of almost all privacy tools?

Good for those who like to spend hours and hours fine tuning their privacy tools, but less than useful for those who need websites to work fully, or are just doing general browsing.

Same as NoScript, handles it too aggressively. They should co-operate with working blockers instead of wasting time for this.

I think ublock-origin has the same (or more) function but does not bother the important scripts that needed for the sites.

. . .

Just tried ublock - different but same problem.

Different websites, same problems.

Agree totally with your point about cooperation. Are there - I dunno - API thingmajigs or something that could meld some free stuff together? Or would that cause exploitable stuff?

Tries to sound knowledgeable

Blocks unwanted trackers or trackers that you didn't know we're looking at you in the first place. Very easy to unblock.
