I love this extension how I can select exactly what to block and what not to block, and it alerts me of all the different things on each site, I finally feel as if I have regained control of my web browsing experience - without all the pesky clutter I don't want, and informed about it all.
The software is very good, but it only blocks official advertising and no advertising integrated via websites. to have only a subscription model and no lifetime model like other providers I would rather pay once than pay every month / year.

Ghostery is a data trading company that presents itself as an adblocker.

Ghostery does a great job of deflecting trackers. I always install Ghostery alongside AdBlock Plus whenever I transition to a new browser or machine.
The functionality is great, but last modifications to UI make the app resources-intensive and not so usable.
I'm thoroughly impressed by the elegant and effective design of this plugin (have only used in Chrome so far). Its notifications are unobtrusive yet obvious, attractively formatted, and has a perfect escalation of information curve (popup names - right click UI - complete entity profile page).
Thanks Ghostery, now I can stalk my boyfriend's exes without worries :D
