How to Download All your Photobucket Albums

Comment by kitsuneae
about Photobucket · Jul 2017 · Helpful Not helpful Report as spam

The new change ($40 a month to hotlink?!?!) has a lot of people wanting to move on from Photobucket.
Here is how to download your albums to make the move more simple:

  1. Find the album you want to download by first navigating to the Library. (/user/yourname/library)
  2. Click the Album you wish to download. It will load. This is correct!
  3. Look in the lower right corner of the screen for "ACTIONS" menu. Find and click the link to Download Album.

It won't replace all the broken links to photobucket, but at least you can save your images safely and start over without having to download it all one at a time.

Happy moving!

Watch the fine print when you're doing that... if you have videos or animated GIFs in the library, it might not get those so you'll still need to download them individually. Even if I wrote it off as a business expense I wouldn't pay $400/year to host images.

I only started using this when it was the only option on my palm pre. I actually like it more than flickr. Restrictions are allot less than flickr free service. Plus its already on my Palm Pre its fast and reliable.
