I have a Pro account on Flickr and have been using them for well over 4 years now. They've grown well and support all my needs. Every now and then I'm tempted away by another service, but they never come close. Flickr is by far the best photo storage and image search service, it's also got the largest number of 3rd party apps to choose from too.

While I'm not using the service anymore I think it's the best online photo community. I don't know about the short video thingy, but for a photo gallery Flickr would be my choice. (free account: upload 100mb p/m)

Flickr has moved to a brand new interface more modern and unique looking. They also moved every one to 1TB of free storage. - Cheers
