Pearcleaner is described as 'An open-source mac app cleaner inspired by Freemacsoft's AppCleaner and Sun Knudsen's Privacy Guides post on his app-cleaner script. This project was born out of wanting to learn more. There's probably parts of the code that could be done better as I'm fairly new' and is a System Cleaner in the os & utilities category. There are more than 50 alternatives to Pearcleaner for a variety of platforms, including Mac, Windows, Android, iPhone and Android Tablet apps. The best Pearcleaner alternative is CCleaner, which is free. Other great apps like Pearcleaner are Canta, Mole, AppCleaner and PureMac.
