Paperwork Comments

Not really as convenient.

This falls short of a full review, but:

  1. One of the ideas behind Evernote is that it has clients on different desktops and a browser plugin for convenience. Linux users, for whom Evernote provides no client, have to login via the web, which is annoying. (Unless they use Nixnote.) Paperwork is all web interface. So no offline notes, one gathers. Also there's no browser plugin, so far as I can see.

  2. The demo on the site doesn't work. You have to download the files to find other online demos mentioned. What a pointless inconvenience.

By contrast, Turtl and Tagspaces both have clients on all platforms and browser plugins. (And encryption in the case of Turtl.)

This app was promising in V1. However, there's a new leader in the PHP world for evernote and onentoe alternatives. Checkout Bookstack on Github. Easy to install, and does everything this system seemed to be aimed at.

Paperwork is undergoing a rewrite and is, according to the webiste, " its very early development phase and not yet usable." (as of early August 2018)

Is there any version that is available/functional that you are aware of?
