What is Notepads?
Considering that most text editors are eather too heavy or look too old, the author came up with Notepads, designed to be a modern-looking UWP app.
Notepads features :
- Fluent design with built-in Tab system.
- Blazingly fast, feels like win32 notepad.exe but looks better.
- Launch from command line or PowerShell by typing: "notepads" or "notepads %path-to-your-file%".
- Multi-line handwriting support.
- Built-in Markdown file live preview.
- Built-in diff viewer (Preview your changes).
Notepads is still under developpment and is currently accessible through a beta version.

This is what I wanted as an alternative to Notepad. It's NOT suitable as a programming environment; you'd be better off with Geany or something. But that's not always what I need, sometimes I just want something FOR MAKING NOTES, and Notepads is exactly the iteration on Notepad that I was looking for for that use case.
good and easy app, but no win32 exe version, also no portable version and it's limited in customization area
Best notepad, it does everything that does the default Notepad but better and the interface looks similar but better. And last but not least i love the backup feature.
It's free, open-source, fast, small (9 MB), and good-looking. It has all the basic features. I wouldn't use it for Markdown, though.
