What is Noden?
Noden is a native macOS client for SSH, SFTP and RDP. It brings a multi-session terminal, a dual-pane SFTP file manager and a Windows remote desktop into one window, and lets you tile them in a grid — two Linux shells, a file manager and a Windows desktop open at once.
The terminal has saved connections, tabs or a resizable grid, command history with autocomplete, per-tab latency, broadcast input, SSH tunnels and jump-host (ProxyJump) support. The file manager is a real dual-pane commander with resizable/sortable columns, Quick Look, drag-and-drop from Finder and remote file editing in your own editor. The built-in RDP client supports clipboard and file copy both ways, shared folders, RD Gateway and domain login.
An optional AI assistant is OS-aware: on Linux it proposes shell commands and only runs them after you approve; on Windows it answers as a chat. You can use the built-in assistant or bring your own key (OpenAI, Claude, Groq or a local model). Credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain and file contents are never collected.
Noden is free for up to 5 connections. Noden Pro (unlimited connections, full history and the AI assistant) is $10/year. Requires macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel).
