mmv Downvoted a comment on OpenSSH as an alternative to PuTTY
OpenSSH is a server for the SSH protocol and not a client to handle SSH sessions like PuTTY.mmv Upvoted a comment on OpenSSH as an alternative to PuTTY
Up to date. One of the most trustworthy dev teams on the intenet.mmv thinks OpenSSH is an alternative to PuTTY
I think this is the tool I've been using for the longest time, several decades (yes from 2 you can say several). Thanks so much for your very good job!
Have been using putty for years. Though a bit old, it works for me!
PuTTY doesn't have tabs. This is super annoying. (Asbru, PAC Manager, SecureCRT, Zoc do)
It can't use standard OpenSSH keys. You must convert them to its own PPK key format. All other SSH clients use standard keys.
To just connect to a host, the information is spread across THREE option pages:
This is just stupid UX. Sorry. In Asbru, ZOC or PAC Manager, you have all the login information on one page.
This help me in so many ways to list.
I don´t like it, yet. I would like to test it
i use it for configuring cisco swiches.
It's very old and you have to convert your SSH keys from the standard format into "PuTTY keys" for them to work.
