What is MediaFlow?
MediaFlow is a local-first desktop app for people who work with media files, subtitles and multi-track containers. It brings track extraction, track merge/muxing, transcoding, audio-to-subtitles, video OCR, AI subtitle translation, batch renaming and file inspection into one reviewable workflow.
Use it to extract audio, video or subtitle tracks, add external subtitles or audio tracks to videos, transcode media for sharing, editing or archiving, generate SRT/VTT subtitles from speech, recover burned-in subtitles with OCR, translate SRT/ASS/VTT/SSA subtitle files while keeping timing and structure, preview batch rename rules, and inspect codecs, duration, bitrate, languages, tracks and metadata.
Local media tools are available on the free plan. AI-assisted features use credits for transcription, OCR, translation, track matching and recommendations. MediaFlow is built with Tauri, Rust and Svelte, and uses FFmpeg/FFprobe for media processing.
