    Xubuntu is still light weight distro, with richer features and software. It's more user friendly. Its XFCE is closer to those well-known full featured desktop enviroments like Unity, Gnome and KDE than LXDE is.

    I prefer to use it instead of Lubuntu, because Xfce is way better than LXDE and both don't consume too many resources.
