What is Kimi?
Kimi is an intelligent assistant app that uses advanced reasoning to help users solve complex problems in areas like math, coding, and visual reasoning. It can handle both long and short chain-of-thought tasks efficiently, processing text and visual data to analyze images and derive insights.
Kimi scores highly on benchmarks like AIME, MATH500, and Codeforces, demonstrating its strength in math and coding. It can also handle up to 128k tokens, allowing for extended inputs.
Kimi's reinforcement learning approach allows it to expand its training data autonomously, enhancing its reasoning abilities and making it a powerful tool for users seeking AI solutions.

Comments and Reviews
Many capabilities. Requires login. Google login works. Powerful OCR from web image or file of your choosing. Offers to build websites. Using Kimi's sample of Webbridge agentic web automation feels like opening the door to a great new dimension :-) One example: Kimi will do shopping calculations, sorting, and provide links that none of your other free AI will do. (In my case, finding shipping boxes that work with UPS Simple Rate) Kimi Webbridge will make like over 15x the effort that free Perplexity would to tell you if your lesser-known program has a feature like regex. It will delve right into the site info vs doing standard searches.
Free Kimi may say it is busy. The only other AI to do that to me was Grok, but now I see that on free levels, most AI will either say busy or alternatively, put up a paywall notice if you ask a rather complex logic question. Note though, that Kimi goes further than any AI that I've found for more detail web-related search type questions.
Not really impressed compared to Gemini/Claude/ChatGPT.
And in free mode, if you ever try to test the Kimi 3, no matter what time of day it says: "Too many people are chatting with Kimi right now. Subscribe to enter a dedicated priority queue!"
Just be honest and say you can only try it if you buy first...
