It's similar to Google in speed and design but offers user-controlled personalization, which I like. What really stood out were features like 'Lenses' for topic-specific searches and 'Discussions' that highlight organic internet conversations. Plus, you can tweak its appearance, even using a custom CSS editor! However, it's not free like many search engines, and the subscription costs can pile up. They do offer some free searches for trial, though. If you're like me and value privacy, or you're into research, Kagi's worth checking out. But if you're used to free search engines, the subscription might be a deal-breaker.

A great way of getting results from brave, yandex, mojeek, and having them reranked in a way that is better than the sum of the parts. They should not bother with the AI stuff.
I got the Ultimate tier and cancelled my Perplexity account. Now I have a proper search engine AND my LLM needs sorted!
I really like Kagi. I had previously used Startpage in tandem with DuckDuckGo, but Kagi has almost all of their features + a lot of their own, and produces better search results.
