What is iTunes?
iTunes is the best way to organize and enjoy the music, movies, and TV shows you already have — and shop for the ones you want to get.
You can even tune in to free, on-demand music stations that have been totally revamped by our Apple Music experts.
Enjoy all the entertainment iTunes has to offer on your Mac and PC.
Note: Starting with the release of macOS Catalina, iTunes for macOS will be split into three applications: Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV+. Finder will take on the role of managing Apple devices, such as the iPhone and the iPad.
Comments and Reviews
I have been using iTunes for Windows and android for over 10 years now. This application in my opinion makes more sense and works better than any other music player I have tried for windows. However I'm still using version 12.6.3.6 and it takes a while to start up! I use this version because it still includes the Toolbar widget that apple removed. I really wish they didn't remove this small feature and I probably will never update this application until they re-add it.
It's good. Contrary to what many people are saying, I never ran into any problems with resources while using it. It's still available for Windows.
I don't really know how Apple could release this. This is the sloppiest piece of software stuffed with unrelated features and insanely hungry for resources. Simply forget about running it if you're on a battery.
iTunes left a lot to be desired and occasionally had some insufferable bugs, but all in all it got the job done for years lol
iTunes for Windows is a miserably neglected mess of buggy, broken and resource intensive code. Mini Player can't be scaled like it can be on other versions of iTunes, closing iTunes while it had been running on an external monitor hangs my entire system in a state of lag for minutes straight, it refuses to switch audio output devices on the fly and so you need to manually relaunch to switch from say speakers to a BTA headset. It used to be a great application but it's been purposely neglected to the point where it's on my personal list of worst software ever.
iTunes is easy, fun and make life easy..
My childhood, I liked it a lot!
