..it works. No fiddling, it works simply and reliably. A very robust application.
A very robust piece of garbage. It simply doesn't work, nor it has any way to troubleshoot or configure.
Instantly works through wifi. Small app through the store, small install on pc, no configuration needed. Simply love it.
I like to point out that it's very cheap compared to other similar software, and even on a free version the only major downside is a not obnoxious watermark that fades away. All the other features you most likely not even use as leaving everything to auto works great. But ability to turn your phone's flash or muting a phone's mic is a nice bonus.
I also like that it streams audio from the phone making any lag a non-issue as it synchronises audio with video anyway.
Only app that autoconnects when you open it, sits quietly in the background on the pc (no obnoxious and overcomplicated config window) and keeps the app running in the background on a phone when you switch out of it, so you don't suddenly drop video. It also connects fast and has a cute cat animation while not connected yet.
It's freemiun. In settings say : Hide Iriun logo (pro version required). I can't install . Error : libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5.9' not found (required by iriunwebcam)
Well it's not open-source (as far as I can tell) and the creator has gone to great lengths to be anonymous;
Basically ... I don't trust this binary
Yo've a good point.

Not true.
There is no imprint on the website, but the owner of the site and the app is not anonymous.
Five minutes with Google and you find the name, address, his tax number and a photo of his house with the old car in front of it and you can reach the author very well under a mail address and you also get an answer.
