BigCam information
What is BigCam?
Universal Control Center: Functions as a hub for configuring different types of cameras in the system.
Smartphone as Webcam: Allows you to use your phone's camera wirelessly (via browser), eliminating the need for cables or paid applications.
DSLR Camera Support: Originally created to allow the use of cameras like the Canon Rebel T3 as a webcam via gphoto2 and ffmpeg.
AI Features: Includes modern features such as background blur (bokeh) via artificial intelligence (MediaPipe).
Extra Tools: Has an integrated QR Code scanner and supports multiple languages.
Performance: The latest version uses direct capture via OpenCV V4L2, ensuring fluidity even on USB 2.0 connections.
Although developed by the BigLinux team, the project is open source and can be used in other Linux distributions. You can find the source code and installation instructions in the official repository: github.com/biglinux/bigcam.
