Office & ProductivityWhat is Growly Write?
It’s a word processor, not a nuclear reactor Perhaps the word processor you’ve been using has 100 times more features than you need. Or it won’t work the way you want it to — too many views or too few, and nothing makes any sense. Or it looks as if it were designed back when computers displayed text in green letters on a black screen. Growly Write is something else entirely: fresh, capable, and simple. But not too simple.
The range of documents you can create in Write is staggering: multiple columns, chapters with different layouts, pictures that flow with the text or pictures that text wraps around, drop caps, tables, lists, links within a document or to web pages, borders simple and complex, and a complete toolkit of text formats. But everything is easy to find.
Comments and Reviews
Dear Developer, Thank you for creating all your Growly Bird software. Everything I've checked is polished, functional and, apparently, regularly updated. I applaud your commitment and hope that I will find my way to a near-future contribution. Your documentation, too, is first class. I think, yes, this is a fan email.

I've only just found you and want to convey that your Write might displace Bean as the foremost 'basic' word processor. I'll drop something onto alternative.net to that effect.

Next, so pleased to find that your Draw succeeds better than the pre-eminent GraphicConverter in retrieving content from old PICT files. (It used to do that well.) It's lovely to see bitmap and vector rejoined alike SuperPaint of the past. Your help files acknowledge the problems with proprietary Save formats. Might Corel's .cmx r even SuperPaint be commandeered?

And now to Cribbage. I did thoroughly enjoy playing your software this morning. The pegs, however, of each players ought go 'up' the outside and 'down' the inside track. Also, the score close to the end might in future announce the winner before all hands are unnecessarily counted. I have a lovely old triangular board apparently made by my grandfather. Let's say that Cribbage is 'in the family'.
