FileBricks information
What is FileBricks?
FileBricks helps users analyze disk usage with interactive visual maps. After scanning all drives or a selected folder, the program shows files, folders, and duplicate items as proportional colored blocks, making large files and space-consuming folders easy to notice immediately.
The application includes four main views for different types of storage analysis: files displayed inside their folder structure, a largest-files view sorted by size, a folder-size view for comparing directories, and a duplicates view that groups repeated files. The visual chart is linked with the tree or list below it, so selecting a block also selects the corresponding file, folder, or duplicate group.
FileBricks also uses consistent color coding by file extension. Files of the same type share the same color, helping users quickly recognize categories such as videos, images, archives, documents, executable files, and system files. Users can also apply scan filters by modified date, minimum file size, and filename or wildcard pattern.
