What is Extraterm?

Extraterm is more than just a traditional terminal emulator. It provides a toolbox for working with your terminal and command line applications, allowing you to capture and reuse previous command output across your terminal sessions, preview images and rich media directly, and edit command output. It is also compatible with xterm, supports tabs and nested split panes, drag and drop of downloaded files out to your OS file manager, has a keyboard friendly “command palette” for finding and running commands, supports unicode and color emoji support on all platforms, plus more features.
