**A LIFESAVER. ** Replaced Xmarks and cleaned up the huge mess that Xmarks made. Killed duplicates and empty folders really easily, all done with an awesome interface (both local and web) that's way easier to use than Xmark's. This totally saved my set of bookmarks from the Xmarks disaster. I would give this thing 10 stars if I could.
The only cross-platform browser bookmarks/favorites sync tool I'm aware of, since Plaxo was discontinued.
This is the kind of thing to use if you want ALL your bookmarks synchronized. I don't think it will let you create a different repository.
bookmark syncs working! good it!
This is definitely needed since the fall of Xmarks. This is the closest (FREE and reasonably priced) thing to Xmarks that I can find. It doesn't have the home/work profile ability that xmarks had, but I need something to use for now. I've made 2 accounts so I may experiment with that more to have separate bookmarks. It does have an online web interface, so I plan to use my work bookmarks at home (if needed) and vice versa by accessing the web gui. Or even switching accounts login back and forth. It's compatible with the most browsers of any others as well.
Does it do the job of Xmarks, yes for the most part. The UI could really use some work as I'm not getting a full sense of what is going on like I did with Xmarks. My biggest gripe is I feel I have to babysit this thing too often it appears I have been logged out, and when I click the login it button boom I'm in without actually clicking anything, so it's not a coookie issue it seems. Then I've been jumping between browsers and computers and bookmarks that were changes weeks ago aren't there, because well I wasn't watching properly if I was logged in or not. Issues that didn't appear to Xmarks, but hey this is still alive so that's nice.
I agree with everything you said. I had this issue once (since I started it 3 days ago) and it was with firefox. I dominantly use Chrome and haven't seen that issue with Chrome yet. It's better than nothing, as you said :)
