I've just discovered this application wich is simple but with really cool features like linking files to an operation wich should be considered as "must have" feature. Some others have this feature, but... Skrooge : Windows Installation requires Windows 10 and WSL, macports is outdated Money Manager Ex also have this feature, but this one doesn't link to files, each file is copied in a specific directory and I don't like that. KMymoney, this feature is wanted for more than 10 years but still waiting for...
Filters also allow to mass edit operation, usefull after some CSV import ;)
French translation is not perfect, but gone try to find some time to have a look on this one.
Eqonomize! is a personal finance software available in several languages, written in C++, compatible with several operating systems and is completely free and opensource.
It uses the double-entry system to have better control over revenues and expenses and provides very interesting functions such as the possibility to create refunds, transactions with multiple payments (from different accounts), split transactions (for purchases where several items are purchased using the same account) and a very useful option to link different transactions.
You can also control your stocks, loans, convert currencies from different quotes, export your backups directly to the cloud, add transactions quickly, create budgets, track reports of different periods, categories, tags and much more!
Development is active from 2006 to the present day! Without a doubt, it is one of the best options to organize your personal finances. So much development time has made this program an incredible finance manager, very complete and with few bugs.
The author of this program is the developer Hanna Knutsson, who also maintains another incredible software called Qalculate!. If you have a problem or suggestion to make, please contact him through github, I'm sure you'll be answered by a very nice person.
