It's literally C but with more added to it. (C Plus More Plus More, C++)
It has many of the advantages of C (low enough level to directly handle memory when necessary, highly efficient, etc.).
C++ is very, very fast and you can develop any kind of software with it.

If you want to make a game or game engine you choose the right language. also you can do low-level stuff too.
I think the language itself is fine since 11. I can give it four stars. The development environment is probably the worst of any programming language.
