EmEditor is a fast Unicode 64bit text editor for Windows 10/7/Vista/XP/2000 supporting extremely large files (up to 248 GB), binary files, comparison, multiline editing, easy numbering, scriptable macros, CSV files, script keyword highlighting and much more.
It is impressive fast for loading large files - e.g. it can open a 1.34 GB file in <9 seconds and be ready for editing right after.

Best treatment of large files on any OS. Smooth scroll, attention to detail, responsive developer... A jewel of a program. Totally worth the price.
The only thing it misses compared to sublime Text is a more active community and plain text config files. Support for 'trendy' languages (coffeeScript, clojure) is missing, but syntax files are easy to make.

This is a really nice editor but it does not support folding. Without folding editing XML, HTML is like hell.

I think it is most powerful text editor to run for Windows. It is light and fast even for a big file. I like its unicode support. Sometimes I need to work with Japanese or Chinese or Korean, it supports perfectly fine with UFT-8 perfectly unlike some of of other text editors. The best text editor ever I have.

I rarely pay my own money for development apps (most of the tools I use are purchased by my employer for our team), but this program is so exceptionally good, I happily paid out of pocket to get this editor. I've used Notepad++, Notepad2, and other free apps, and while they each have their strong points, nothing comes even close to the quality and usefulness of EmEditor. Highly, highly recommended!
