What is csvfab?

csvfab is a free, open-source CSV editor for files too large for a spreadsheet. A 5-million-row file (770 MB) opens in under 3 seconds and sorts in about 2, where Excel and LibreOffice Calc stop at 1,048,576 rows. You filter, sort and edit, then save back into the original file: saving without changes gives back the exact same bytes, and an edit only touches its own line. Malformed files (unclosed quotes, uneven rows, mixed encodings) open without being damaged. It also cleans up data: broken accents, duplicates, noise words, date and phone formats. It runs on Linux, macOS and Windows with Python and a Chromium-based browser.
