Downright information
What is Downright?
Downright is a native Markdown reader and editor for macOS. It is designed for ordinary Markdown files that are awkward to read in Finder’s Quick Look but excessive to open in a full editor. It provides Document, Split, and Source views, themes, Finder and Quick Look integration, and rendering for headings, tables, tasks, callouts, footnotes, math, Mermaid, code, links, and images. The file remains on disk as the source of truth. When another process changes an open file, the change can be reviewed instead of silently replacing local edits. Free, open source, and MIT licensed.
