What is DesktopTools?

DesktopTools brings screenshots, screen recording, image annotation, and presentation tools into one Windows 11 app. Capture a region, window, or monitor, add arrows or text, record walkthroughs with microphone and system audio, draw over the desktop, use a spotlight or teleprompter, extract text with OCR, and keep floating notes nearby.

DesktopTools is free and open source under the MIT License. It requires no account or telemetry, and user content stays local. The release includes an installer and a portable ZIP. SHA-256 checksums are provided.
