It used to be a good program back when I used it on Windows Phone 8. Now it's just a mercenary program that charges a monthly fee to use.
IT workers have lost touch with reality. They've become true mercenaries. They're extorting people!
When will this wave of extortion end?
This app could cost R$ 79.00 for a one-time purchase. But it costs R$ 79.00 as a rental! This is absurd!
For those who still don't understand how absurd this is: if a house in the real world costs one million dollars...

I've been using this app for a couple years now. I use it more and more but was always bothered by the watermark at the bottom. A few times I've clicked upgrade to premium but it has a monthly fee which I'm unwilling to pay. Out of curiosity I checked the app store and found that I can remove the ads (which didn't bother me) and watermark (which did) for a small cost. With the paid version I have no complaints.
very useful tip. thanks!
Very bad Company, Once there were just 2 Version (free & paid) i paid for the ad-free, fully functional version. Now they've cropped the paid version in functionality (e.g. folder limitation) and added a premium version with monthly fee.

For those who still don't understand how absurd this is: if a house in the real world costs one million dollars for you to buy, but the real estate agency offers it to you for one million annually as a subscription. Only a rich person with no regard for their money would do that.
Developers, come back to the real world.
I purchased it back when it originally released years ago. I started using it again recently to scan & upload documents, but was saddened by what I saw. Like every other app out there, CamScanner has moved from the one-time purchase model over to subscription.
With how infrequently I use this app, it isn't worth it. The subscription probably wouldn't be worth it even if I did use it more.
I usually only use open-source apps whenever possible, but haven't found anything to compete with this yet. It quickly auto-crops pages fairly accurately, and provides small black and white copies if you wish.
Edit: OSS Document Scanner filters images better into B&W. The camera doesn't work well with GrapheneOS, but I just take it with the normal camera and import there now.
Used to be great, but now shows full-screen ads although I paid for the ad-free version.
AlternativeTo says, "As reported by several news articles, old Android versions of Camscanner were infected by malware and removed by the Google Play Store. Android Police verified that versions released between June and July 2019 included that malware."
