As opposed to Audacity's mess of a ui this is quite nice. Has all the effects I needed. Looks good even in a KDE environment.

Ocenaudio has all the editing capabilities of Audacity but wrapped in a much more streamlined, modern and intuitive interface. It's not open-source, but it's free, doesn't have ads, is also cross-platform and runs fast at native speed.

I needed to do spectral analysis of an audio file, but audacity didn't support hidpi. Ocenaudio does, and overall it is capable and pleasing to use.

Easy to use and stable. Auto noise reduction is an excellent feature not available in Audacity. But an equally missed feature is "Truncate Silence" that is found in Audacity.

Perfect for MAC users! Audacity is a WIN program adapted for mac, but is still to "win 98 style". I had troubles with the mic in audacity. Oceanaudio is very easy to use, the scrolling with the magic mouse works perfectly, it saves in so many audio formats (without putting the extension at the end, like in audacity).
