The best FOSS alternative to the Malware Play store. Other alternatives host proprietary content, and track you.

JTDimino F-Droid is a fantastic FOSS app store. However, it isn't good as a REPLACEMENT for the Google Play Store as it doesn't allow you to install Google Play Store apps by default.

It essentially is the Play Store, but with the privacy of the user in mind. No tracking, no shit, plain good stuff. There may be a few unstable things, but all in all, it is the best.

headlines Aurora Store lets you download apps from Google Play without a Google account or Google Play Services on your device. Unlike Google Play Store, Aurora Store doesn't have any ads or client-side tracking. Aurora Store also has an advanced search function that lets you filter out paid apps, apps with ads, and apps that require Google Play Services. Finally, Aurora Store shows you exactly which trackers are bundled with each app in the store.

If you download YouTube through Aurora Store, it glitches and do not allow you from logging in your account, even though you have been using MicroG. Google is also banning people who uses third-party applications to log on Google's account.

    4. The project's aim is to promote free and open source software on the Android platform. Fossdroid takes its data from F-Droid, but organizes apps in an attractive, Google Play-like arrangement with the ability to view apps by popularity.

narvod Has the advantage of being open source and only lists open source apps (since it uses the F-Droid repository), which has privacy benefits over Google play Store. It has a better interface than F-Droid, plus a system of labels, rankings and comments, that are lacking on the original F-Droid app. (personal experience: images, like logos, load way faster on G-droid than F-Droid for me)
