A clean Android setup with the best apps (mostly open source)
Everytime I setup a phone for a friend or myself I usually remove stock apps using adb or UniversalAndroidDebloaterNextGeneration and replace them with theses apps listed here. I added also a couple of nice to have apps that people might wants on their device.
Almost all of them are free as in free beer and many are open source (around 80%)
I tried to feature more applications and less services but there are several services still in this list, however I find them great and/or accessible (freemium most of the time).

I love that you can push apps to your Android device remotely. In my opinion, this is the Android Market's biggest advantage over competitors like the Apple App Store (though Appbrain can sort of do this too). I'd much rather download apps remotely from my desktop computer, than navigate the market from my Nook Color.
I wish it still had the app reviews when you uninstall, so you could tell the author why you were uninstalling it.
I wish it was still just an app store, and not a "music and movies and book and unrelated crap!" store. It sucks that I have to click so many times to get to the important part of the app.
Google loves shoving Google+ down our throats, and they've done it again by making it mandatory that you use your Google+ account to review apps on the app store. Makes me want to switch to an alternative
Me too! I'm done with Google Play and it's Google+.
Try Appszoom. It's the only one I've seen with lots of reviews and an Android App just like Google Play.

It’s okay,
i wish google would put more time and effort into how apps are sorted and filtered. Google should also put more resources into maintaining a higher tolerance of quality for apps in their store, so as not to have very very basic programs that serve the sole purpose of pushing Advertisements and generating revenue.
