Comments and Reviews
Advertised as free - but it shows "NOT REGISTERED" in it's window top bar. Also, after using it some time, maybe after 10 launches, it showed a popup "consider donating". So Advanced Renamer is free, but has nagware features.
UI is a bit cluttered, and it's also slower than for example, Bulk Rename Utility. Dragging 100+ video files makes it show "analyzing" for some seconds, where as BRU this is instant.
Also, UX might be better. Renaming takes several clicks, first you have to click "Start Batch" button in the upper right corner, then a popup appears in the middle of window, and then you'll have to click Start, which also has a Cancel button on it's right side... not a nice pattern, if you repeat this many times often. I didn't find an option to disable the popup - although I didn't search too much either.

Definitely not a bad piece of software.
Free and very advanced!
With this app, you can perform virtually all types of file renaming, with filter functions when loading and post-loading files to be renamed. It also presents, in real time, and before the renaming, the modifications to the files and, even if they are later renamed, there is an "undo" function to reverse the action.
NB: To get the most out of this app, you should learn to use the capabilities of using "regular expressions" (RegEx) (there's a little syntax help built into the app itself!).
Its very easy and at the same time complete
Free, Portable, Easy to use, Great interface, Quite advanced with scripting support, Best renamer utility in my opinion
Best renaming software available. Completely free.
Thank you Kim Jensen for the best free renaming app ever!
