Google launches three new AI models: Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber
Google has expanded its Gemini lineup with three new models: Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite, and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber. Gemini 3.6 Flash is designed for coding, knowledge work, multimodal processing, and computer use. Google says it uses 17% fewer output tokens than Gemini 3.5 Flash and requires fewer reasoning steps and tool calls. Pricing is set at $1.50 per million input tokens and $7.50 per million output tokens.
Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite targets latency sensitive tasks such as agentic search, document processing, receipt analysis, and translation. It can generate up to 350 output tokens per second and costs $0.30 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens. Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite are available through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, Gemini Enterprise, and the Gemini app, while Flash Lite is also rolling out to Google Search.
Google also introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, a lower cost alternative to GPT 5.5 Cyber and Claude Mythos 5 for identifying, validating, and patching software vulnerabilities. It will initially be limited to governments and trusted partners through Google’s CodeMender security agent. Meanwhile, Gemini 3.5 Pro remains in partner testing with no public release date, and Google confirmed that work on Gemini 4 is underway through what it describes as its most ambitious pretraining run yet.
